No matter if you’re starting up a bricks-and-mortar retail store or a home-based business, crafting a quality email newsletter should be high on your list of priorities. But how do you make sure your newsletter doesn’t land in your potential customers’ spam folders?
On Monday, October 20th, I had the great opportunity to be the moderator for SmallBizTechnology.com’s most recent Taste of Technology event on E-mail Marketing. The evening was filled with great questions that uncovered audience members true concerns about what email marketing is really all about in today’s business world. The panel consisted of Ilise Benun of Marketing Mentor and Wendi Caplan-Carroll of Constant Contact.
When preparing for the event, I put together a list of questions I wanted the panelists to answer and I added my own point of view. The questions included:
On Thursday, October 24, I am giving a presentation to a recruiting company on utilizing LinkedIn to build contacts and relationships. Next week, I’m giving a web class on using LinkedIn at a clients request. Therefore, I thought this week’s tip should focus on LinkedIn.
Here is a great idea to start using your LinkedIn:
When is the last time you really looked at your LinkedIn Network?
Click on Contacts from the navigation bar on the left side of your screen. Then click on the tab marked: Network Statistics. This will show a brief overview of your network of contacts, degrees of separation between you and other LinkedIn members.
I’ve been a bad blogger… I’ve been spending much of my time micro-blogging lately. It’s been a wonderful forum for me to listen to other people rant or rave about business today. I will have some new content to add to the Technology Therapy Blog shortly.
