Christmas has come early at The Technology Therapy Group! We finally get to unwrap our shiny, new website, take it out of the box and share it with the world.
Don’t get me wrong, our old website has served us very well since 2007. That site, our fourth for www.technologytherapy.com, was our most well received and complimented on by users to date. It still stands as a perfect example of how a great amount of content can be organized into an easy-to-follow, usable format. But after two years of growing as a business, we began to accumulate more and more content—articles, events, clients, blog posts—until we reached a point where we began feeling a little cramped.
Our new site takes care of these concerns, while still following the same principles of functionality and design that we advocate to our clients everyday. There is an expanded Events page that allows for more detail and layers of information. Our Blog has been revamped into a categorized format that’s more searchable. Our Portfolio section is now broken down into project categories and presented in a streamlined, interactive design that is extremely easy to use. There are more widgets to enhance interoperability and cohesiveness. And, there is a more dynamic, social feel to the site than ever before (this is something that wasn’t necessarily of the greatest concern when designing a site back in ’07, but after the recent social-media boom, enhancing our social aspect is vital addition to our site).
From this…

To this…

We’re excited to share these new improvements with you, but more importantly, we want to show you our own before-and-after so you can see in action some of the instruction we advocate everyday. As passionate educators, we try to help our clients achieve their best website possible—one that combines design, technology, marketing and user-interactivity. We are now practicing what we preach, updating our website to fit our own standards—more technology, more interface, more depth, more usability, more interoperability. We advocate that websites need to be dynamic, and we are following our own advice.
We also constantly advise that a website to be updated every 18-24 months, and now you can clearly see why this time frame is so necessary. After not even two years since our last website was made, the technology and design capabilities available and user-standards and demands in place are completely different—our site transformation definitely reflects these huge changes!
We hope that you enjoy our new site as much as we do, and more importantly, use our website makeover as an inspiration for your own future site plans. And as we tweak the new TechnologyTherapy.com throughout the next couple of months, we want to make it an even better experience for you, the user, so take a look around and let us know what you think!
