Client: National Chain
Project: Website Redesign, Online Catalog

National Chain Group is the leading domestic manufacturer of precious and semi-precious metal chains for wholesalers, distributors and large volume retailers in the fashion jewelry industry. Being an industry leader, National Chain was looking for an updated website that would support their internal sales team and effectively showcase their catalog to their customers. They knew it was time for a new website.

The Technology Therapy Group was brought on to blend their internal tradition and personality with the changes in today’s web technology. We began by creating a game plan, first by reviewing the previous website and addressing the changes needed. During this conversation we uncovered a bump in the road: there was no digital version of the company’s extensive catalog. Working together, we connected with print partners and began transferring all the product photos from the print catalog and created a digital catalog. National Chain is now left with an organized, streamlined foundation, and they can easily edit and expand their product line going forward.

The foundation for a successful online catalog is a clean database. This begins with an organized spreadsheet of products. The Technology Therapy Group created the spreadsheet that will be used to help National Chain efficiently manage their products. The newly created spreadsheets now allow in-house team members to make sweeping changes to multiple products at once, helping them save time and money. In just a few clicks, multiple changes are instantly updated to their online catalog – a great feature for a company with more than 1,200 products!

Here at the Technology Therapy Group we talk about the importance of connecting with your audience, and to help National Chain better connect with their clients we recommended some custom features that set their site apart from their competition. We’ve all seen an “email this product to a friend” feature, so customers are able to share specific products with colleagues, but we added a downloadable image and permalink to the product email to help recipients see the product right in their inbox and on their smartphones.

National Chain has been the subject of some amazing shows recently appearing on The History Channel’s Modern Marvels and The Science Channel’s “How It’s Made.” These videos were converted to offer visitors the opportunity to watch these exciting episodes.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Jennifer and her entire staff for the exceptional work that was done. Our website is vastly improved; we are now able to provide our customers and prospects with a valuable tool to learn about our products and company. Your cooperation and creativeness were above and beyond anything we expected when we began this project, and the positive feedback from our customers, sales people and competitors pretty much says it all. You continue to provide us with exceptional guidance and marketing concepts, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.

Website Facelift:

Client Testimonial:

One of our mantras at The Technology Therapy Group is that your website is a marketing tool and should be adaptable to grow as your business grows. This is exactly what Stephanie Shalofsky, owner of The Organizing Zone in NYC, recently realized.

When we originally designed Stephanie’s website over two years ago, she was just beginning her personal organizing business and did not have a breadth of information on her services to highlight on her website. Over the past two years, however, her business has grown tremendously, and she now needed her website to reflect these exciting changes so she could target more clients.

We determined that her website needed a facelift – a few enhancements and tweaks to make it more current and set it up for an even more successful future.

We started by focusing on her services. Originally summarized all on two main category pages – Residential Services and Business Services – we decided that each specific service should be broken out into its own subpage.

This meant we needed more copy, which presented a prime opportunity to beef up her SEO. In a city like Manhattan and a service like professional organizing, it is vital to integrate solid SEO practices into your website so your audience can easily find you.

We targeted her keywords and integrated them into every page – new and old (for an SEO How-To, click here). We cross-linked pages, created attention-grabbing call-outs and created copy that showcased her services in an engaging, yet keyword-effective way.

Other things we did for her website Facelift:

Redesigned her blog into a more streamlined design

Made her entire site more “social” – adding Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn icons to every page more visibly, so her audience can connect with her

Added more call outs to every page, creating more opportunities for users to take action

Redesigned her resource center, “The Comfort Zone” – the two years of compiled resources needed to be reorganized into an easy-to-navigate design

Updated her Metadata (the back-end SEO information) to increase her site’s searchability

Sometimes websites just need a few changes to get up to date and back on track. But these small changes produce big results – results that will set you up for success and help you reach all your business goals.

When I decided that it was time to expand the content on my site and give the page layout a facelift, I immediately called upon Jennifer Shaheen who had originally designed my site. I knew that Jennifer and her team at the Technology Therapy Group could provide the appropriate marketing and technical guidance as well as creative solutions that would work within the confines of the existing page layout. The work done by Technology Therapy Group on this project has greatly exceeded my expectations …not only has the look of each of the pages been finessed for easier reading, there is greater clarity concerning the services that my company offers. I highly recommend Jennifer Shaheen and the team at Technology Therapy Group to anyone who wants to give their site a fresh look but isn’t ready for a complete re-design.”

Client: Talisen Construction Corp
Project: Logo, Website, Marketing Postcards, Business Card Design, Letterhead, Marketing Brochures

We began working with Talisen Construction Corp from the very beginning; the two principals, Robert and Joseph, had branched off from their long careers to create their own Manhattan-based construction management company, and they came to us to help them successfully launch their new partnership.

Our strategy was to build their brand from day one. We began by creating a logo to legitimize them as an established firm.

We then built their website, continuing to reinforce their branding and business message on each and every page. And because they were a start-up, we chose to build the site in a content management system that allowed for maximum growth – so as they acquired new clients, projects and portfolio items, their website could simultaneously reflect each stage of growth.

The website is also equipped with a client-only access area, an online project area that allows clients, partners and sub-contractors access to all job documentation and developments – a great special feature that is extremely marketable to potential customers.

To further establish them as a professional, established firm, we created their business cards and letterhead – translating their brand building from digital to print, and making sure no material was left untouched as a place to reinforce their company message.

To officially launch their firm, Talisen decided to do a traditional mailing – something often abandoned in place of emails – but still highly valued to customers. We created announcement postcards that introduced them as the new player in town, but also translated the message that they weren’t new to NYC construction – they had the experience needed to get the job done.

After a successful mailing and subsequent potential client follow-ups, we created logoed folders and glossy brochures to complete their marketing materials.

Now Talisen is bidding and confirming jobs, breaking ground and continuing to generate new clients for future projects. Our next step is creating a comprehensive online marketing plan that will secure Talisen as a major player in Manhattan commercial construction.
