Q. Do you use templates to create your sites?
A. No, we design each site individually from scratch, based on what each client wants. Some of our sites may look like templates, which was a design choice to make the site easy to navigate and also give allow the client the ability to edit it.
Q. What programs do you use to build your sites?
A. It depends on what type of a site you’re looking for. We assess the needs of our clients and the needs of their site to determine which platform would be best suited to build it. Content heavy sites usually require a content management system and we choose the application based on today’s needs and tomorrow’s anticipated growth applications include CMS Made Simple, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, or others, we are well versed in using all of these programs to suit our client’s needs. When it comes to building ecommerce sites we choose to work with different catalog applications based again on the function needed for the website. What is important to understand is we work in Open Source applications.
Q. Are you able to apply Search Engine Optimization to a flash website?
A. No. Flash websites are compilations of moving photographs and as such, search engines cannot read the text on flash websites, therefore it is not possible to optimize a flash website for SEO. However if we feel flash would enhance a web site we will create flash elements. We try not to build an entire website in flash unless absolutely necessary or requested.
Q. How much do your websites cost?
A. There is no standard rate for our websites. The cost is based on what type of site it is, the number of layouts needing to be designed based on function and the capabilities/ amenities the client wants the site to have(the programming). Every client’s needs are different. For example, some projects require us to provide website content (copywriting) and others may need us to act a support system for imputing their products.
