Back to School Sessions with Technology Therapy Group

Fall is universally known as back to school season as kids across the country fill their backpacks with fresh notebooks and pencils and climb aboard that big yellow bus after a long summer off. But you can still experience the excitement of going back to school, even if you’ve long since graduated! There’s always something new to learn, especially in the world of social media. That’s why resident Technology Therapist Jennifer Shaheen is teaching a series of web classes on the subject this fall.

Over the past six months the social media landscape has changed dramatically. Each platform has made modifications and additions, from increasing the focus on visual content to introducing analytics to measure effectiveness. Jennifer has crafted her web classes around these changes to help both business owners new to these platforms and those who just need to brush up on these new tools.

Technology Therapy Fall Web Classes

    • Facebook:

With over 1.5 million active users, 699 million of which log on to the platform on a daily basis, Facebook is a portal to a vast audience. And this audience is seeking to engage with businesses on the platform; on average, local businesses receive 645 million page views and 13 million comments per week. Jennifer teaches small business owners how to get in on the action in her web class. View Sept 18th Event Details.

    • Twitter:

Though this platform is famous for limiting their users to a small amount of text in posts, there is nothing little about its marketing potential. In the past two years the number of Twitter users who ask for business recommendations on the social site has increased by 663% and 67% of users are more likely to make a purchase from brands they follow on Twitter. In her web class Jennifer will show you how to tweet to succeed!

    • Pinterest:

Pinterest offers businesses the opportunity to share their images, each of which can be linked back to their websites, on a digital pinboard. Along with highlighting your businesses quality photos, Pinterest also supports ecommerce. With 28.1% of users having an average household income of over $100,000, these users have disposable income to spend. In fact, 40% of social media driven purchases are attributed to Pinterest. Jennifer will cover how to set up a Pinterest business account, what to pin, how to measure your success and more. View Nov 6th Event Details.

    • LinkedIn:

Each second two new users join this platform. In addition, LinkedIn users are highly engaged and committed to this platform, with 38% investing in premium accounts and 81% belonging to at least one group. As this is the preferred social network among executives and the platform allows businesses to target users by groups they belong to, job titles and more, LinkedIn offers incredible opportunities for B2B companies. The web class will detail how to set up a page, highlight specific tools for businesses and more.

    • Google+:

The benefits of using Google+ for marketing your business are two-fold: it offers a means to connect with your customers and it has more SEO weight than other social platforms. 41% of online B2C and 39% of B2B marketers are utilizing Google+. Jennifer teaches business owners how to set up business pages, what and how often to post and more in her web class.View Oct 9th Event Details.
