Make Their Day Merry & Bright with a Holiday E-Card

Make Their Day Merry & Bright with a Holiday E-Card

Whether they are dreaming of a White Christmas or they have just celebrated the Festival of Lights, your customers are most likely in the holiday spirit. Taking some time to send them simple well wishes during this magical time of year is an easy way to show that you appreciate their business. Here are a few ideas to help you begin planning your holiday e-cards.

  • Go Classic:

There are reasons that certain imagery become classic; we associate it with fond memories and it evokes warm feelings of nostalgia. Take advantage of these time honored symbols. Images of holiday lights, intricate snowflakes, and bright colored ornaments make it clear that you are wishing them happy holidays.

  • Consider Your Customers:

Before you draft the messaging for your holiday e-card, consider your customers. Will you alienate a large portion of them by focusing on a Christmas theme? If so, it’s best to stick with non-denominational phrases, such as “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays.” In fact, these are most appropriate unless you know with certainty that the majority of your audience celebrates one holiday in particular. The same thought should be given to the images that you choose as well.

  • Make ‘Em Laugh:

While warm holiday imagery provides comfort, holiday or winter themed jokes can certainly bring the joy! Tell a seasonal joke or include a funny cartoon in your holiday e-card. Just be sure to follow the guidelines above and keep your humor clean.

  • Give Back:

The holidays are a time when we strive to think of others before ourselves. We look for ways that we can give back and admire those who do the same. If you’ll be making a charitable donation this holiday season, feel free to mention that in your card. If you do, be sure to tell your customers how they can donate and/or get involved as well!

  • Be Different:

You don’t have to send your e-card during December! Try something different and send your card in January. Wish your customers well on their journey into a new year and provide insights on what your company will be doing in the next 12 months.
